If you have used Cardrosa Biodata to build your marriage biodata, you have probably noticed that everything, picking a template, filling in your details, customizing colors, and seeing a live preview, is free. The only moment money comes up is right before you download the finished PDF, and even then it is a one-time ₹11, not a subscription. Here is the honest reasoning behind that number.
Why isn't the whole thing free?
Running a site that generates a polished PDF on demand, for free, in your browser, without ever touching a server, is not actually free on our end. Hosting, bandwidth, the payment infrastructure for the rare times people do pay, and the ongoing work of keeping ten templates looking right on every device all cost something every month, whether one person uses the site or ten thousand do.
Charging a tiny, one-time fee only at the final download step, instead of a subscription or an upfront charge before you have even seen your biodata, is how we keep the site running without putting a paywall in front of the part that actually matters: building something you are happy with.
What the ₹11 actually covers
₹11 is deliberately small, smaller than a cup of tea in most cities. It is not priced to be a meaningful revenue source per download, it is priced to cover payment processing costs and keep the lights on, while staying low enough that it is never the reason someone does not get a biodata made.
The payment itself is handled entirely by Razorpay, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator, using UPI, cards, net banking, or wallets. We never see or store your card or bank details, only the order reference and payment status needed to unlock your download.
What stays free, always
To be specific, the following cost nothing, with no limit on how many times you use them:
- Choosing from all 10 templates and switching between them as many times as you like.
- Filling in every section of your biodata and seeing a live, accurate preview of exactly how it will look.
- Customizing colors, reordering sections, and uploading or cropping your photo.
- Editing your draft repeatedly, even across multiple visits, since it is saved automatically in your own browser.
How the payment works
The PDF is actually generated before you pay, so you never pay for a download that then fails. Once you are happy with your preview and tap download, you pay ₹11 once through Razorpay, and your PDF downloads immediately after.
That unlock is remembered on your browser and device, so you can re-download the same biodata as many times as you like afterward at no extra cost, as long as you use the same browser and do not clear your site data.
What if something goes wrong?
Because the PDF downloads instantly and you can preview it exactly as it will look before paying, payments are final in normal circumstances. The exception is a genuine payment problem: being charged without the download unlocking, or being charged twice for the same biodata. In either case, you get a full refund.
